Next to the medieval tower house, currently the Holy House, and the Basilica as a place for cult, a permanent exhibition has been put forward in the monumental set of Loiola of the legacy of St. Ignatius since the XVI century, with the foundation of the Society of Jesus and its historical evolution until nowadays, reflecting the thought of the saint from Guipuzcoa and its historical and religious transcendence through the Society of Jesus.

St. Ignatius wrote the "Retreat"
as a mode of internal knowledge
that generated a personal method
so as to behaviour in the
world and disseminate the
God’s word.
The four stages of the
spirituality of St. Ignatius are
looked over in this exhibiting
site by means of the
development of an area of
intimacy and meditation
which allows oneself to be
spiritually immersed in the exercise
of St. Ignatius.
This part recounts the
history and evolution of the
Society of Jesus since its birth
in the XVI century until
present. It reflects its
expansion and challenges
throughout the history. In
addition, it will enter you into
the essential values of the
Society of Jesus. Its deep
humanism as well as social
and evangelical commitment,
expressed through education
and its particular pedagogic
spirit.
